Wheels of Hope is a compassion based ministry through Lake Pointe Church, in Rockwall, Texas,  which is dedicated to providing and adapting wheelchairs, walker, canes, and crutches to the disabled people in Mexico. The team consists of all volunteers who donated their time and resources to help the people of Victoria, Linares, and Piedras Negras, Mexico. Wheels of Hope is led by Pam Ragsdill who is a Physical Therapist specializing in wheelchair seating.  For the past 7 years this ministry has had the privilege of helping over 1,000 of those who cannot help themselves, in Jesus name.

DALLAS – Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics, an agent for Mayflower Transit, LLC, recently donated a trailer to the Birdville High School (BHS) marching band. The band plans to use the trailer to store and transport its instruments and equipment. Daryl Flood became involved with the BHS band in 2010 when it donated a truck to the school for the Tournament of Roses Parade’s Bandfest in Pasadena, Calif.

The BHS band expects to use the trailer for its competitions, away games and again at the Tournament of Roses Parade.

For the 14th straight summer Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics helped to provide much-needed bag lunches to the 5th Ward Enrichment Program – an agency serving some of the neediest children in the State of Texas. The Fifth Ward Enrichment Program (FWEP) of Houston, Texas is a local private nonprofit agency addressing the problem of hunger and poverty in Houston’s fifth ward. The lead program for FWEP’s hunger initiative is “Lunch: It’s in the bag!” Along with Prudential and Fiesta Fiesta Mart, Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics, in partnership with FWEP, delivered hundreds of lunches to the children of Houston’s Fifth Ward through this important program. The “Lunch: It’s in the bag!” program is in its 14^th year and continues to grow each year. Other sponsors of the program include Prudential and Fiesta Mart.

When the city of Joplin, Missouri was struck by a powerful tornado earlier this summer, many organizations rushed to help the community get back on its feet. Among the companies that mobilized to assist was Daryl Flood Relocation and Logistics, a Dallas-area mover.

The Texas moving company donated both the use and the transportation of a 53’ trailer which several churches and community organizations filled with donated paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, wipes, medical gloves and supplies, napkins, canned goods, and many other desperately needed items that were then distributed in the Joplin, Missouri community.

For the third straight year, in 2011 one of the vehicles the kids got to explore at the city of Rowlet’s ‘Touch-A-Truck’ event was a Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics Mayflower 18-wheeler. ‘Touch-A-Truck’, is a fun and educational opportunity for children of all ages sponsored annually by the city of Rowlett, Texas. The popular program that has allowed kids to touch and explore large construction vehicles, fire engines, police cars, ambulances, school and public transportation buses, 18-wheelers, the CareFlite™ helicopter and more! Daryl Flood Relocation & Logistics independent contractor Nathan Neff participated in the Memorial Day “Touch-a-Truck” event giving tours of the vehicle and handing out kid-friendly items such as Frisbees® and sidewalk chalk.
