Authorities in the Houston Texas area are taking steps to protect moving customers from scams designed to rip them off. Two men were recently arrested and charged in the Houston area after operating an operation posing as a legitimate moving company. Now, representatives from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, the Southwest Movers Association, the American Moving and Storage Association, and the Houston Police Department are taking action.

This article is a good reminder for the need to hire a legitimate, reputable, licensed and insured Texas Moving Company. Some less than reputable moving operations have been known to work on contracts with hidden fees, and sometimes have held the victims belongings hostage until the inflated fees are paid.
