In honor of UniGroup’s Van Operator Appreciation Week, we’d like to introduce you to the people who keep Daryl Flood moving. Although our offices are based in Texas, our drivers move families all over the country. As a Daryl Flood customer, you trust our drivers in your homes and in care of your belongings. Behind the wheel, they are truly Daryl Flood Dependable. We asked our drivers to submit answers to a series of questions, here’s what Daryl Flood Driver Dave Mason had to say:
1.) What do you like most about being a Daryl Flood Driver?
What I like most about working for Daryl Flood is the open relationship the company’s owner and executive team have with employees. I feel comfortable knocking on Daryl’s office door when I have questions or concerns, and I know that he’ll be open to conversation with me, if he’s not on a call or in a meeting. I also appreciate how honest and upfront Daryl is about his faith in God and how he uses his faith to make decisions to run and grow the company.
2) Do you listen to music while on the road? What’s your sound-track?
I listen to a lot of Talk and News Radio while driving. My first choice for music is ‘80s hair bands. I’m going to see my favorite band, Motley Crue, in concert for the 8th time this summer!
3) What’s your most memorable moving experience?
I’ve had too many memorable customers to pick just one. For me, it’s the customers and their locations that are memorable. Getting to know my customers, is much more meaningful than just moving their belongings.
4) What advice would you give to customers moving for the first-time?
If you’re going to hire a full service pack and load moving company, such as Daryl Flood, do not pile your belongings in the garage or basement to de-clutter! When you put items together in a pile, that belong to multiple rooms, it makes it that much harder for our crew to put it all in order. We need to be able to pack your items so that everything is labeled properly and assigned to designated rooms in your new home.
