(COPPELL, TEXAS – November 4, 2020) Daryl Flood Inc. Chairman and CEO Daryl R. Flood was recently reelected to a fourth term on the Board of Directors of UniGroup, the parent company of Mayflower Transit, United Van Lines and other transportation related companies. UniGroup President and CEO, Marc Rogers, announced the election during the annual shareholders meeting held virtually on September 15-16, 2020.
“More than 40 years of leadership in the industry and my tenure on the UniGroup Board have given me a firsthand perspective on the challenges impacting our industry, as well as opportunities to pursue,” said Flood. “I have served with uncompromising integrity and engagement on behalf of my fellow shareholders, and it is my intention to continue to do so. My passion for maximizing opportunity, growth and the customer experience for agents and UniGroup is uncompromising.”
Flood will serve a three-year term that runs through the 2023 UniGroup shareholder meeting. The Board is responsible for the overall stewardship of the Corporation. To this end, the Board oversees the Corporation’s business affairs, and the conduct of business by executive management, approves major Corporate policies, and ensures the long-term creation of shareholder value and the preservation and protection of the Corporation’s assets. In prior terms, Flood has served on various UniGroup committees including Audit and Finance, International, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT and Executive Committee.
Flood founded the Daryl Flood companies in 1982. Through the years, he has built the award-winning local, long-haul and international household goods moving division to include Mayflower’s largest agent and six offices in Texas. In his current role as Chairman & CEO, Flood focuses on the vision and strategy for growing the Daryl Flood companies.
